You don't have to have the right words. You just need somewhere safe to begin.
At Caroline Heron Counselling, I offer a warm, accepting and confidential space where you can talk openly, make sense of what you're experiencing and begin to find a way forward.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with difficult emotions, relationships, change, loss, anxiety, low self-esteem or simply feeling that things aren't quite right. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to work through it alone.
I believe counselling works best when you feel genuinely heard, accepted and understood. My role isn't to judge you, tell you what you should do, or try to change who you are. Instead, I offer a warm, compassionate and confidential space where you can explore what's happening for you at your own pace.
Every person is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counselling. I take time to understand you as an individual — your experiences, your relationships, your strengths and the things you may be finding difficult.
You can expect me to listen without judgement, to be curious about what you're experiencing and to work alongside you rather than simply telling you what to do. Sometimes counselling may involve gently exploring the past and understanding how it has shaped the present. At other times, it may be about making sense of what's happening right now and finding practical ways to cope and move forward.
Most importantly, you don't need to have everything figured out before you come to counselling. You can simply arrive as you are.
Whether you're looking for support for yourself, your child or your family, I aim to create a counselling environment that feels safe, comfortable and accepting.
For children and young people especially, I believe counselling needs to be more than simply sitting and talking. I use creative and age-appropriate ways of working where appropriate, helping children communicate and explore feelings in ways that feel natural to them.
My aim is to help you — or your child — feel heard, understood and supported, while developing greater insight, confidence and the ability to navigate life's challenges.
